A. DAY OF KINDNESS

Our mission is to share awareness of childhood cancer while spreading kindness throughout our community.

​Our vision is to create an event where families can enjoy quality memorable times.

 In just three short years, the town of Berthoud, CO was hit with unimaginable tragedy; three cases of pediatric cancer. Alex Sabados (age 13), Angelo Dabbiero (age 14), and Zach Dunkelberger (age 16). Sadly all three boys lost their battle with pediatric cancer.  They all had generous and caring spirits and were loved by the entire Berthoud community.

 

​Kindness Day in Berthoud was born in Alex's memory, aiming to spread the kindness that Alex had shown to others; and in honor of all pediatric cancer fighters like Zach and Angelo. Throughout this day, various activities and events are held to spread awareness of pediatric cancer. In addition, we give all children attending local schools "pass it on" kindness cards with gold awareness ribbons.
